Rodan & Fields - - full review

My friend Jenn reached out to me a while ago and wanted me to review Rodan and Fields. I have been interested in the skin care line for quite some time, but just had never jumped in. As I am approaching the later half of my 30s, it’s time to get serious about skin care. The reality is, I probably should have gotten serious about it a decade ago… But hindsight is 20/20. Before we go forward, I wasn't to be clear...I paid for this product.  I am in no way being compensated for my words or opinions.  All are my own.

The thing about Rodan and Fields, it’s not cheap. This works in my favor, because I am cheap so there was no way I was gonna waste this money. The price forced me to take it more seriously than  other skin care options I had tried. After about a week, I found the routine that worked for me. I put the scrub in the shower the night cream next to my bed. If I’m being honest, I probably only followed the regimen as directed about 50% of the time. I find myself taking showers and washing my face at odd hours. Whether it be yardwork or playing tennis, I often take showers during my youngest nap. This puts me in a quandary at 3 PM do I use the day cream and night cream???  Needless to say, after some experimenting and tweaking I found what works for me. I probably only use the scrub/face face wash once a day but I am trying to be very deliberate about the creams.

I have very watery eyes, so I use waterproof mascara. I found that I had to use a  foaming gentle face wash to get my mascara off as opposed to the scrub exclusively. I also like the idea of double cleansing the sweat and make up off at the end of the day.

I continue to be impressed at how long these products last. I am eight weeks plus in to my products and still have plenty to spare. I’m looking forward to train more Rodan and Fields. I especially want to try the roller and serum.

Valentines Snack Mix

This snack mix is so easy & versatile for any holiday or activity. This is a super kid pleaser. The variety I made is nut free, there is a peanut allergy in my daughters class.  I started with popcorn & pretzels as my base. I popped my popcorn on the stovetop, you could just as easily use pre-bagged popcorn (Smartpop) or microwave popcorn.  I used 8 cups of popcorn and 3 cups of pretzels. Mix in a large bowl. Next, melt your vanilla coating chocolate. Follow the melting instructions on the package.  I dyed mine pink for the occasion.  Once the coating candy is melted and the right color, pour it over your mix. Stir constantly until is all incorporated. Spread out on parchment or wax paper. I used valentines sprinkles next... this is optional... but too cute to pass up! Next, I did the chocolate covered pretzels. I used the remainder of the bag of pretzels.  Same process as before, but using chocolate. Sometimes this is referred t...

What to wear Wednesday

Does  anyone else have a kiddo that is super picky about clothes???  I have 2...so far.  My oldest is picky about fit and feel, which makes it hard to shop for her.  Up until recently she would say that her biggest enemy in life were ‘jeans & mustard’.... first world problems! But that being said, when you take jeans out of the equation it really limits your outfit options. I mean jeans match everything. I have found the solution!  Target makes a super soft jegging in 3 different washes. She wears, loves and doesn’t complain. Light Wash Adjustable waist. Must have in my opinion for growing kids! They are on sale right now, buy 1 get 1 50%!!! That’s a great deal. You can find them here .

Monday Must Have - Organizing Products from Amazon

The next three weeks, I’m going to be focusing all of my posts on back to school efforts. Today is all about a couple of organization products I have picked up over the past couple of weeks.  If you have been inside my house lately....you know I need all the organization help I can get! One of the things that I always do is re-organize my kids closets. This summer I’ve got a step further. If you follow me on IG, you know that we’re in a big room transition right now. Our oldest daughter turned 10 the spring, and it is time for her to have her own room. She has previously shared a room with our seven-year-old daughter. We moved our seven-year-old in with her little sister, allowing our oldest to have her own room. This means there has been a need for organization on all fronts. Moving our middle daughter into the littlest’s room, the closet storage situation was the most critical. Specifically shoes. I hunted and hunted on Amazon to find the perfect solution.  I ...
