Work of the Heart

We are not a family that buys new backpacks every year. I try and buy a backpack that will last several years and take good care of it. During the school year, I have my kids empty their backpacks two or three times a year so I can pre-treat and wash them.  My oldest daughter is entering fifth grade, and her backpack was new in kindergarten. It had seen better days and so at the end of fourth grade we decided to pitch it and look for a new one. I love Lands End backpacks and lunch bags. When our middle daughter was entering preschool we got a backpack from there and it is still in great shape and she’s entering second grade.
