Monday Must Have

Another Monday Must Have - - - Amazon

These must haves from Amazon are going to be frequent now that summer is upon us.  I mean honestly, how is it possible for me to forget just how incredibly difficult it is to run simple errands with all three kids in tow.  It takes SO long.  So I am leaning heavy on online shopping to propel me through these sweet summer months.  Plus who wants to walk through a store when we could be splashing at the pool!

Anyway.  These earrings! OMG!  They are currently my absolute faves.  They literally match everything!  I have worn these a ton since I ordered them earlier this spring. These are kind of a dupe for Kendra Scott in shape at least.  They are light weight and very comfortable.  Easy to wear all day! I literally get compliments overtime I wear them.

It's Summer...Now What?!?  If you are like me, you have school age kids that are now home with you 24/7.  One of my constant worries is (1) filling their time (2) making sure that they aren't regressing, but progressing towards the next grade.  I especially worry about this with our rising second grader, because I feel like this age group the learning is so fresh and new and necessary for building onto the next stage.  That being said I am (trying) to stick to a routine of no screens during the two year olds nap.  Instead they are to read, do their daily worksheets and do art/creative activities. I ordered them each these workbooks from Amazon to take them through until school starts back.

DIY Salon Worthy Manicure at Home

DIY salon manicure at home So, like many of you mamas I don’t always have time to sneak off to the nail salon to get a manicure. Not only that, but weekly trips to the salon are not always in the budget. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love going to the salon. But the logistics get tough, I have to find someone to watch the youngest of my kiddos. So, a $30 manicure turns into a $50 outing once I pay the babysitter. More often than not, I do my nails at home. Here is how I am able achieve a salon look quickly at home. I tend do my nails at night after the kids are all in bed, while watching TV.  Starting with clean dry nails, here is my process. First, I rub hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol on on my nails. This takes the excess oil off of my nails and allows the polish to adhere better. This is the first step to a longer-lasting manicure. Second, I use a basecoat. I love Orly Bonder. It’s a rubberized product that allows the color to stick to y...

Favorite Everyday Shoes

Favorite Kicks I bought these shoes about a year & a half. I LOVE them. I stalked these shoes at my local DSW, I looked up outfits for these shoes on Pinterest. I did my due diligence.  Needless to say, I have already gotten my money worth and they are still kicking! I bought mine at my local Store. You can find them online HERE . These are Dr. Sholl’s brand. They have memory foam and are terrific for walking all day. Not to mention, they are a pretty reasonable price point, especially when you consider how often I wear them! I wear them with jeans, leggings and shorts. I’ve even paired them with the occasional relaxed dress. What I love most about them is that they are as comfortable as my running shoes, but they take it up a knotch with fashion & style.

Italian Cheese Ball

I blogged and did a IG live recently and made a cheeseball. You can see the blog post here. Cheeseballs are a fantastic item to serve at a gathering. They are easy, appetizing and unpretentious. You can make them any flavor to fit what you are looking for. This last weekend we were swimming at a friends house and I wanted to bring something for us to snack on. I made a Italian flavored cheeseball. Think of the flavors of an Italian sub, but in a cheeseball! So good. I like to mix my cheeseballs in an electro mixer... but that’s not necessary. It just needs to be well mixed. Ingredients: 2 finely chopped peperocinos 2 finely chopped cherry peppers 1 block of softened cream cheese 1/2 packet of Italian dressing (dry) 1/4 cup Parmesan Coating: 1-2 tablespoons of dried parsley 2-3 pieces of hard salami, chopped finely (blotted w/a paper towel to remove extra oil) 1/4 cup Parmesan Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
