Monday Must Have

Another Monday Must Have - - - Amazon

These must haves from Amazon are going to be frequent now that summer is upon us.  I mean honestly, how is it possible for me to forget just how incredibly difficult it is to run simple errands with all three kids in tow.  It takes SO long.  So I am leaning heavy on online shopping to propel me through these sweet summer months.  Plus who wants to walk through a store when we could be splashing at the pool!

Anyway.  These earrings! OMG!  They are currently my absolute faves.  They literally match everything!  I have worn these a ton since I ordered them earlier this spring. These are kind of a dupe for Kendra Scott in shape at least.  They are light weight and very comfortable.  Easy to wear all day! I literally get compliments overtime I wear them.

It's Summer...Now What?!?  If you are like me, you have school age kids that are now home with you 24/7.  One of my constant worries is (1) filling their time (2) making sure that they aren't regressing, but progressing towards the next grade.  I especially worry about this with our rising second grader, because I feel like this age group the learning is so fresh and new and necessary for building onto the next stage.  That being said I am (trying) to stick to a routine of no screens during the two year olds nap.  Instead they are to read, do their daily worksheets and do art/creative activities. I ordered them each these workbooks from Amazon to take them through until school starts back.

Monday Must Have - - - Closet Clothing Dividers for Kids

Mom's Take back your morning!!!! If you are like me and have multiple school age children, mornings can be stressful and time consuming.  The fight about clothes and hurrying to get dressed in the morning can be endless and infuriating.  I envy those of you whose children wear uniforms to school.  But regardless of if they wear everyday clothes or uniforms this method is priceless. This also allows momma to see if everything they need for the week is clean and ready.  I also hang practice clothes or jersey's with the day of the week of the game etc. I started this when my oldest was in preschool.  It allows us organization and frees our mornings up.  When I started doing this, I used a hanging sweater organizer.  This was a good fit for the closet at the time and it worked for our space.  Now, my oldest two children share a room and closet, so this method works better for us. I ordered colorful set of clothing organizers from Amazon . ...

Boundaries - - - Time for Childhood

Boundaries is a tricky subject matter. I think some people have a natural propensity for strong boundaries in their lives and some people have to work harder to establish them. When I say boundaries, I am specifically talking about ones ability to establish specific limits and guidelines for certain relationships and activities. I have a natural ability for well established boundaries. Many times friends and acquaintances have come to me seeking advice & recommendation on improving this area. I definitely don't say this to toot my own horn, but to share with you what I know about my successes and areas I still need to work on. One of the reasons boundary discussion can be complicated is that there are so many facets; emotional boundaries, physical boundaries, relationships boundaries & time boundaries... just to name a few. I could write an entire blog post on each facet of boundaries. And maybe I will get to all the points eventually. When you are a momma you ...

Cheeseburger Bowls

New Recipe! Trying to get back on track with eating. I’ve been like a 12 year old in the gas station market since school has been out! I’m attempting to be more carb conscious again. So I thought I’d work up a new summer recipe. What says summer more than burgers?!? You can certainly go the more traditional route and just 86 the bun or wrap it in lettuce. I wanted something even easier and more time friendly. I notice in summer it becomes a buffet at dinner... eating between sports, activities etc. So being able to make a plate as you need is ideal. Ingredients: Ground beef (I used a pound...easy to adjust for more or less) Season beef with: garlic salt, pepper, onion powder and a couple of splashes of Worcestershire sauce Chopped Iceberg Lettuce Chopped Pickles Chopped Tomatoes Shredded Cheese (Chopped Onions would also be great... but my crew isn’t a big fan) Sesame Seeds *Really any toppings you love on top of a burger would be absolutely great! That is why ...
