Must Have Monday 04/29

Must Have Monday’s have returned!!!!

I’ve been remiss at  continuing with my favorite series on this blog. Must have Monday’s. It’s a post that I highlight a few products that I absolutely LOVE (usually from amazon) that are everyday products that make life easier!

Socks! These are the best no show socks I have ever worn. They are thick and cushy like athletic socks, but do not show at all even in my lowest casual athleisure shoes. Bonus, the heel never slips! I also love that they come in a neutral color palette.

The make up remover wash cloths are so great. They are soft and luxurious feeling. I use these as a first step in my nightly routine in removing my makeup. They are dark gray, which is great for not showing my mascara. These are SO good. The true tale of these came a few weeks ago... if you follow me on IG you saw my kids got into my make up during one of my volleyball games. I could not get the eyeliner off of their faces with baby wipes. I soaked these cloths with warm water and the black eyeliner melted away from their sweet faces. #momwin

Lastly, this gorgeous rose gold crossbody. A while back, I was trying to decide on a new small travel friendly cross body for sporting events and sightseeing. I posted on my stories and let you all vote. Well one of the ones that was so cute and got most of the votes I ordered. When it came in, it was huge! Definitely not what I was looking for. It wouldn’t be allowed at most sporting events and didn’t fit my need parameters. So I sent it back and started again. I ended up with this one! It’s the perfect size and so cute. My regular sized wallet fits in it great and it’s holding up wonderfully! Bonus it’s the exact rose gold color of my new birks!

DIY Salon Worthy Manicure at Home

DIY salon manicure at home So, like many of you mamas I don’t always have time to sneak off to the nail salon to get a manicure. Not only that, but weekly trips to the salon are not always in the budget. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love going to the salon. But the logistics get tough, I have to find someone to watch the youngest of my kiddos. So, a $30 manicure turns into a $50 outing once I pay the babysitter. More often than not, I do my nails at home. Here is how I am able achieve a salon look quickly at home. I tend do my nails at night after the kids are all in bed, while watching TV.  Starting with clean dry nails, here is my process. First, I rub hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol on on my nails. This takes the excess oil off of my nails and allows the polish to adhere better. This is the first step to a longer-lasting manicure. Second, I use a basecoat. I love Orly Bonder. It’s a rubberized product that allows the color to stick to y...

Favorite Everyday Shoes

Favorite Kicks I bought these shoes about a year & a half. I LOVE them. I stalked these shoes at my local DSW, I looked up outfits for these shoes on Pinterest. I did my due diligence.  Needless to say, I have already gotten my money worth and they are still kicking! I bought mine at my local Store. You can find them online HERE . These are Dr. Sholl’s brand. They have memory foam and are terrific for walking all day. Not to mention, they are a pretty reasonable price point, especially when you consider how often I wear them! I wear them with jeans, leggings and shorts. I’ve even paired them with the occasional relaxed dress. What I love most about them is that they are as comfortable as my running shoes, but they take it up a knotch with fashion & style.

Italian Cheese Ball

I blogged and did a IG live recently and made a cheeseball. You can see the blog post here. Cheeseballs are a fantastic item to serve at a gathering. They are easy, appetizing and unpretentious. You can make them any flavor to fit what you are looking for. This last weekend we were swimming at a friends house and I wanted to bring something for us to snack on. I made a Italian flavored cheeseball. Think of the flavors of an Italian sub, but in a cheeseball! So good. I like to mix my cheeseballs in an electro mixer... but that’s not necessary. It just needs to be well mixed. Ingredients: 2 finely chopped peperocinos 2 finely chopped cherry peppers 1 block of softened cream cheese 1/2 packet of Italian dressing (dry) 1/4 cup Parmesan Coating: 1-2 tablespoons of dried parsley 2-3 pieces of hard salami, chopped finely (blotted w/a paper towel to remove extra oil) 1/4 cup Parmesan Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate at least one hour before serving.
