Blush Utility Jacket

Oh my! I couldn't be more excited about this piece. I love, love, love the look of a utility jacket....but if I am being honest olive green is just not my color. I don't think it looks good on me and I just don't love it. I was so excited when I spotted this blush one!

My mom LOVES Kohl's. She doesn't have one in the town where she lives, so whenever she comes down for the day she always wants to go out to eat and look around at Kohl's. So, we were shopping around looking here and there and I spotted it. This jacket is the prettiest light blush color, super light weight which is perfect for our weather here in Georgia. I think I can wear this jacket with a lot of different looks. Obviously I am pairing it with jeans, but I think it will be equally cute with a casual dress or shorts. I sized up as this jacket does not have any stretch and I am pretty broad shouldered....hello 2 decades of playing volleyball!

The rest of my outfit is simple and typical mom wear for me. I ordered this 'I Love coffee' sweatshirt from Target. It is soft and lightweight. It is going to be a great transitional piece, I can wear it with jeans as I am today or cut-offs as our weather warms up. It is from the juniors department, so I sized up. So speaking of sizes, I normally wear a large. I sometimes get down on myself or feel badly when I see all the cute gals I follow on IG who have amazing style... and they are all XS or S. Its ok to be an XS its ok to be an XL....everything in between and beyond. The most important thing is feeling confident in your skin. Being healthy and taking steps to improve and maintain health. Beauty is not one size fits all. Love you!

I am wearing a pair of the pull-on rockstar leggings from Old Navy. They are my go to jeans right now.

I also have on the cutest pair of pink earrings on. I don't think you can see them very well in the picture but they are lightweight and the perfect shade of pink. Target recently had a deal on all their accessories, so I stocked up on items I had been eyeing for a while.

OK... So I love this outfit. I couldn't wait to take some pictures and share it on here. There is so much I love about it. Its comfy, practical and cute. I love a graphic tee. Cute sayings, holidays, you name it.....give me all the words. This outfit....all of the pieces are very friendly price points. This is to say, that you don't have to spend a fortune to look good and feel good. Be unapologetically you! This is me, casual & do everything mom who wants to look cute without spending a fortune!

Monday Must Have - - - Closet Clothing Dividers for Kids

Mom's Take back your morning!!!! If you are like me and have multiple school age children, mornings can be stressful and time consuming. The fight about clothes and hurrying to get dressed in the morning can be endless and infuriating. I envy those of you whose children wear uniforms to school. But regardless of if they wear everyday clothes or uniforms this method is priceless. This also allows momma to see if everything they need for the week is clean and ready. Boundaries - - - Time for Childhood

Boundaries is a tricky subject matter. I think some people have a natural propensity for strong boundaries in their lives and some people have to work harder to establish them. When I say boundaries, I am specifically talking about ones ability to establish specific limits and guidelines for certain relationships and activities. I have a natural ability for well established boundaries. Many times friends and acquaintances have come to me seeking advice & recommendation on improving this area. I definitely don't say this to toot my own horn, but to share with you what I know about my successes and areas I still need to work on. Elementary School - - Must Haves

Well, it’s that time again. It’s about to be back to school. This year looks different, but regardless of what your school is doing this fall there are things you are going to need this fall. If your house is like mine, school supplies and craft supplies are running low. Between finishing school at home and quarantine... we are making due. Here in GA, we are starting back to school as normally as can be anticipated. Masks included, if possible. My elementary age kiddo is pretty good on clothes, but definitely needs somethings to start the year. These are a few things that I have bought or will be buying in addition to the required school supplies. First, as a third grader... she needed a bigger backpack. Lands End is my very favorite place to order back packs and lunch bags! They are wonderfully made and hold up so well. My kids love the prints. The website allows you to filter the size of the backpack based on height. For me, this makes shopping for a backpack SO much easi...
