If you are like me and have multiple school age children, mornings can be stressful and time consuming.  The fight about clothes and hurrying to get dressed in the morning can be endless and infuriating.  I envy those of you whose children wear uniforms to school.  But regardless of if they wear everyday clothes or uniforms this method is priceless. This also allows momma to see if everything they need for the week is clean and ready.  I also hang practice clothes or jersey's with the day of the week of the game etc.

I started this when my oldest was in preschool.  It allows us organization and frees our mornings up.  When I started doing this, I used a hanging sweater organizer.  This was a good fit for the closet at the time and it worked for our space.  Now, my oldest two children share a room and closet, so this method works better for us.


I ordered colorful set of clothing organizers from Amazon.  These are the kid on thing you would see in the store to divide sizes.  I order multi-color and blank.  I wanted multi-color because at the time my middle daughter was in pre-school and couldn't read, but knew the rainbow order of colors.  So Monday-red, Tuesday- Orange etc.  I also wrote in Sharpie the day of the week on each ring.






Sunday night we pull up the weather app on my phone and set out clothes.  I try to make this a group effort.  What special do you have at school (do you need something PE friendly) etc?  Sometimes they are interested in helping sometimes they are not.  This Sunday night time is the time to negotiate or have an opinion.  Once the clothes are set out they are set out.  No more arguing or negotiating.  The kids are responsible for picking out their own underwear and socks....which was hilariously difficult for my middle child for a while.  I can't tell you how many times she went to pre-k in leggings and no panties!.



This is a huge time save for us.  It allows for compromise and autonomy for the kids and hassle free mornings for momma

Favorite Everyday Shoes

Favorite Kicks I bought these shoes about a year & a half. I LOVE them. I stalked these shoes at my local DSW, I looked up outfits for these shoes on Pinterest. I did my due diligence.  Needless to say, I have already gotten my money worth and they are still kicking! I bought mine at my local Store. You can find them online HERE . These are Dr. Sholl’s brand. They have memory foam and are terrific for walking all day. Not to mention, they are a pretty reasonable price point, especially when you consider how often I wear them! I wear them with jeans, leggings and shorts. I’ve even paired them with the occasional relaxed dress. What I love most about them is that they are as comfortable as my running shoes, but they take it up a knotch with fashion & style.

Elementary School - - Must Haves

Well, it’s that time again. It’s about to be back to school. This year looks different, but regardless of what your school is doing this fall there are things you are going to need this fall. If your house is like mine, school supplies and craft supplies are running low.  Between finishing school at home and quarantine... we are making due. Here in GA, we are starting back to school as normally as can be anticipated. Masks included, if possible. My elementary age kiddo is pretty good on clothes, but definitely needs somethings to start the year. These are a few things that I have bought or will be buying in addition to the required school supplies. First, as a third grader... she needed a bigger backpack. Lands End is my very favorite place to order back packs and lunch bags! They are wonderfully made and hold up so well. My kids love the prints. The website allows you to filter the size of the backpack based on height. For me, this makes shopping for a backpack SO much easi...
